FRESH, REAL CINNAMON SOLD BY FRESH, REAL, UNFORGETTABLE PEOPLE

These guys were great. I am a sucker for these kinds of places. What really makes it special (in Sri Lanka) is when the guy selling the goods is an AMAZING character like this guy who would invite you to stay at his home and feed & clothe you and not want you to leave.

Nutmeg & its Medicinal Flower

Nutmeg & Cloves drying in the sun.

SPICEVILLE

Muhammad with cacao beans & vanilla beans. He is a great guy who treated us to a tapioca tea and his partner gave us some gemstones. Emily had to drag me away from this place.

Fresh, delicious vanilla beans.

The inside of a fresh vanilla bean. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Fresh cloves

VANILLA PLANIFOLIA: ORCHIDACEAE

THEOBROMA CACAO

Sri Lankan Spice Gardens

Nutmeg with the flower (in red).

REAL Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum) also known as Cinnamon from Ceylon. Nearly all of the "Cinnamon" sold in stores is actually the bark of the Cassia tree and has a flat taste compared to the sweet taste of Ceylon Cinnamon. Our Mayan Afrodesia bar is made with Sri Lankan grown REAL Cinnamon that we purchase through www.mountainroseherbs.com
